Family Law & Mediation

Family law matters may affect property, children, finances, immigration status, and future living arrangements. StreamHorizon Law provides general legal education, early-stage consultation, case review, and practical guidance concerning divorce, property division, spousal maintenance, child custody, marital agreements, and related family law issues.

We also provide mediation for couples who want to discuss separation, divorce, parenting, financial arrangements, or other family concerns without immediately beginning a contested court proceeding. Online mediation may be available to parties located in Minnesota or other states, depending on the nature of the matter and applicable law. As a neutral mediator, we help both parties identify the issues, communicate more effectively, and explore possible agreements, but we do not represent either party or provide either party with individual legal advice.

Because family law is governed primarily by state law, attorney representation is generally limited to matters within Minnesota jurisdiction. Clients outside Minnesota may receive general educational guidance or participate in appropriate mediation services, but should consult an attorney licensed in their state regarding local law, individual legal rights, and the filing or finalization of any agreement.
